PhotoChron Outdoor Lighting Controller
PhotoChron is a revolutionary device that reducesenergy consumed by today’s outdoor lights by 20-40%.
PhotoChron is a stand-alone lighting controller that applies energy management policies to outdoor lightswithout the need for external communication. PhotoChronTM maintains a 24-hour schedule that controls lights on a pre-programmed basis. It will automatically calculate sunrise and sunset for the installed site and ensure that any motion sensor activity during the day is ignored.
PhotoChron is typically programmed to make sure that lights are off during the day. A Virticus Light Meter can be attached to affect light harvesting or provide a means of turning the lights on during the day under very dark conditions. A motion sensor can also be used to override the schedule, bringing on lights if a space is occupied.
PhotoChron also provides for fully programmable transition times, so lights can be dimmed and brightened in a manner that is not visible to observers.
PhotoChron is simple to install, and has optional support for field upgrades.
